MICROSOFT CO-FOUNDER PAUL ALLEN DIES OF CANCER COMPLICATIONS

Microsoft Corp co-founder Paul Allen, the man who persuaded school-friend Bill Gates to drop out of Harvard to start what became the world’s biggest software company, died on Monday at the age of 65, his family said. Allen left Microsoft in 1983, before the company became a corporate juggernaut, following a dispute with Gates, but his share of their original partnership allowed him to spend the rest of his life and billions of dollars on yachts, art, rock music, sports teams, brain research and real estate. Allen died from complications of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, a type of cancer, the Allen family said in a statement. BREAKING: SARS stops Senate delegation from seeing Dino Melaye at National Hospital

DAILY POST which followed the Senate delegation learnt that Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial district was in a state of coma as at Wednesday morning. Nigeria MPs Dispute Buhari's $496 Million Jets, ThisDay Reports

Both chambers of the national assembly have summoned Minister of Finance Kemi Adeosun, Defence minister Mansur Dan Ali, Central Bank Governor Godwin Emefiele and the Accountant General of the Federation Ahmed Idris, the paper reports, without naming its sources. INTERVIEW: What Nigerian govt must do to end health workers strike – JOHESU Vice Chairman

April 24, 2018 Ebuka Onyeji Vice Chairman of the Joint Health Sector Union (JOHESU), Ogbonna Chimela Ogbonna Chimela is the National Vice Chairman of the Joint Health Sector Union (JOHESU). He also doubles as the President of the Nigerian Union of Allied Health Professionals (NUAHP). In this interview with  PREMIUM TIMES ‘ Ebuka Onyeji, Mr Chimela speaks on the implications if the ongoing strike by JOHESU is allowed to linger and why the demands of the union is non-negotiable. INEC denies creating 30,000 new polling units

On:  April 22, 2018 The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has denied creating 30,000 additional polling units in order to compromise the 2019 general elections. Mr. Kola Ologbondiyan, National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party`s (PDP), on Friday alleged that INEC was planning to create 30,000 illegal polling units in some remote areas. A statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to INEC Chairman, Mr Rotimi Oyekanmi, on Sunday in Abuja, urged Nigerians to disregard the allegation. Oyekanmi explained that the commission received 3,789 requests nationwide for the creation of new polling units. He said that in response to the requests, the commission directed its Resident Electoral Commissioners (RECs) to thoroughly asses and provide it with information on new settlements not served or inadequately served by existing polling units.
